Hi guuuuuuys! :) Hope you're all well. You already know what time it is...
BLOGGING TIME! So about this week, to be honest it was pretty chilled, we didn't have a lot of things to do which I obviously did not mind haha but it was a cool week though :) The main topics that we covered this week was about digital marketing, learning search engine optimization, Twitter and we also did group presentations about our project SSM, we presented this to the class and also SSM representatives. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would've been, phew!:) :)
Oh and by the way it is time!
Now you ask time for what...? THE TRIP!
VALENCIA AND LONDON HERE I COME YAAAASSSS SO EXCITED! :)

About this week...

On Monday we had a guest speaker, Mercy Maina. She is a former student of
Laurea UAS. She specializes in digital marketing, Google has recognized her as an AdWords and Analytics certified professional, meaning that she has passed multiple exams that assess her product expertise. Woahh! Way to go Mercy! :D
DIGITAL MARKETING 101
How to attract people to your blog?
To be honest, I'm not trying to attract anyone to this blog.. However I do think I have an idea of how I should go about it if this was the case.
You have to make sure you are actually found online. Use keywords, headings! That's what google search finds, so without these keywords how would you be found? Create a persona, this must be based on an actual research, no assumptions nor guesses. Base your personas on the people you really want to attract. Share your blog on all your social medias, post your blog on your Facebook.
SHARE SHARE SHARE!
This way people know what you are doing and do it regularly!
How do people find you online?
There are two types of searches we come across when doing a google search.
Organic search is based on unpaid, natural rankings determined by search engine algorithms, and can be optimized with various SEO practices. In contrast, Paid search (PPC) allows you to pay to have your website displayed on the search engine results page when someone types in specific keywords or phrases. The fee you pay is based on either clicks or views of your ads.

We also had another guest speaker on Monday, Vesa Robertsson. He's a CEO in Linked By Music. Basically he's speech was about twitter, he had an interesting approach to his presentation. He started off by asking us a question, which instantly will make us more awake, active and engaged, because he's staring at each one of us waiting for an answer haha the pressure is real my friends! Obviously at this point I'll do the only thing I'm good at..
*AVOID EYE CONTACT* hahah :) nah joke. Anywaays so the question was
"What is the most important thing to do when starting a business?"
I was thinking it would be something like having a legit plan, and to do everything necessary or something along them lines. But I was mistaken, the answer was actually
"Make a twitter account!"
Not so sure if I agree with this, however maybe this was the best thing that worked for him, if we are talking about experiences. At the end of the day every person is different, and not necessarily what works for me will work for the next person. For instance, the company that we are doing a project for, SSM. They do not own a twitter account, however they are one of the leading private own distribution companies in Finland. So as I said before, it all depends on what is best for you and it's not all black and white. There's so many different ways to do so many different things. Find what is best for you!

Why Twitter?
Be cause its free, you can follow anyone and you can reach huge masses without knowing them personally. Twitter is 9th largest social media channel.
FOLLOW FOLLOW FOLLOW!
Follow lots of users, follow influential users, follow those who are interested in same things as you are, and follow everyone back! Follow 5000 max until you have enough followers.

Why use one when you can use many?
When creating a twitter account, you don't have to use only one. You can have more than one of course! Use these account to your advantage, follow people that are relevant for you.
Use different hashtags, and follow the accounts that use the same hashtags as you do.
Also use scheduled tweets, to keep your account alive and to keep tweeting constantly. Lastly but most important TWEET TWEET TWEET!!!
Create an image for yourself, be active, become known and just follow for a follow!
Thursday
PRESNTATION DAY!!! OMG "jfs3fdfjs#djk&fgjdfgj"
The nerves were sky high, oh how I hate talking in front of a class.
*Take a deep breath Aniza. You'll ace it don't worry, you got this girl!*
For once inner me didn't lie to me haha, I can't lie I actually think the presentation went good! Oh and Anna was so proud of us she said, we exceeded her expectations, which I'm sooo glad to hear :) And working with my group is so easy and fun which just makes everything worthwhile! We also got some good feedback from the SSM representatives which is a big PLUS! :D

Overall this week was cool and not tooo busy as some of the previous weeks were so hectic! But now I shall wrap this up, and you won't hear from me for two weeks. However I am working on a blog about this book that I chose with Tiina Siltanen (my digi coach) to cover for the weeks I'm missing due to the trip (but hey I haven't missed a class so far!) so staaaay tuned my dear readers! I'm coming back with a BANG! Just wait on it :)
Before I leave, I came across this really interesting video by Simon Sinek, as you know I am a fan of his now :) But about this video it's really interesting and its basically about "The Millennials". Millennial meaning a person reaching young adulthood in the early 21st century. The issues these young adults will face due to technology basically. It's 15 mins long and has nothing to do with this weeks topic but has everything to do with technology and the world so please do watch it, trust and believe its really worth it!
