What's gooooood!? Back at it again with the blogging :)
Yo how is this the ninth blog already!?
I literally remember the first week we started this OMG I was dreading this whole blogging thing guys, and here we are almost done with this whole course. Time sure runs... And the crazy part is it does not even feel like its been that long damn!!!
Okay this week was soooo fascinating! It was filled with so much positivity, motivation and just interesting things seriously I feel like I gained so much
and the fact that we had the company
visit on Monday was so cool! I LOVED IT
Thank you so muuucho Anna xoxo
TBWA

Walking in to the company and seeing that sign "Do the things you think you can't do" actually made me smile! I love it, imagine working there and walking in everyday, first thing you see is that quote. How cool is that!
TBWA is an international advertising agency whose main headquarters are in Midtown Manhattan, New York City, United States. The company was founded 1970 in Paris. TBWA Worldwide creates Disruptive ideas expressed through Media Arts for global clients, including ABSOLUT, Adidas, Apple, Energizer, GSK, Henkel, Infiniti, McDonald's, Michelin, Nissan, Pernod Ricard, Pfizer, Roche, Standard Chartered Bank, Singapore Airlines and Visa.
TBWA is ranked as a Top-Ten worldwide advertising agency, and was recognized by Advertising Age in 2010 as the "Best International Network of the Decade. TBWA has 274 offices in 100 countries, and over 11,000 employees worldwide.
TBWA Helsinki is the only international marketing agency in Finland, with years of proven record of successfully combining first-class creative planning, analytics and technology. TBWA works with many different companies and influencers, such as Prince Ea. I already knew about Prince, as he is active on social medias and has a wide fan base online.. Including me as he does some amazing work. To be honest the only reason I actually know about his existence is my little sister who is a fan of his! He's an American spoken word artist, poet, rapper and filmmaker. My absolute favorite work done by Prince is "THE PEOPLE VS THE SCHOOL SYSTEM". I won't get into details about this as it is way better to see it for yourself. So please watch the video below, trust and believe you won't regret it!
Influencers
During our visit on Monday, the presenters Steve and Henry spoke about influencers, these are type of people that have a wide fan base and are known for something specific, either they are celebrities, bloggers etc. So the guys gave us a perfect example of an influencer that is doing big things today! DRUM ROLLS!!!!!!! Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Obviously I don't have to start introducing to you Ibrahimovic.. Amazing footballer! I was actually a football fan in my younger days (why am I talking like I'm an old person hahaha!!) But yes during my tomboy days I was a big fan of Ibrahimovic.

Anywaaays back to the subject, so Ibrahimovic did an amazing thing, he had the names of 50 people tattooed on his body before the French Ligue 1 game versus Caen. When he scored in the second minute Ibrahimovic revealed his striking body art. The 50 names are of real people who are currently suffering from hunger.
For soccer players, taking your shirt off during goal celebrations is frowned upon, and I believe it is a bookable offense. But I guess he thought that this stunt was worth the consequences, and he was not mistaken as there was so much hype about this..
The amount of headlines and news there was about this woahh!!! The stunt was to raise awareness for the UN World Food Program called "805 Million Names", after the number of people calculated to be suffering from hunger today.

TBWA offers a trainee programme, it is an intense 6-month on-the-job opportunity for students looking to work with real campaigns for real clients. I'm actually interested in marketing, which is why I really loved this company visit..
Sooooo maybe your girl will be part of the Young Bloods in TBWA :)

Picture taken by yours truly, camera skills right hahah :)
Thursday Motivation

So on Thursday we had one of our own to visit us and give a short but inspiring lecture. Ilkka Kurkela, my former tutor.. Amazing person if I must say so! Such a positive individual indeed and very loved by the teachers and students of Laurea! He is missed at Laurea but it was time for him to move on to bigger and better things at the University of Helsinki.
Ilkka wasn't familiar to all of the students, especially the international and exchange students. Therefore Ilkka gave us a short speech about himself, and even I didn't know these things so it was nice to hear something new about him! The speech was mainly focused on how to keep going, and never give up! I think it's nice to hear such motivational lectures once in a while as it does lift me up, and keep me going. It is highly essential to keep going, no matter how many times life knocks you down. Try new things, and also it is IMPORTANT to remember that we won't always succeed in the first time or try. But hey that's life though, and totally normal! Ilkka used one very powerful quote on his presentation "Fail fast, learn faster" I couldn't agree more!
Few simple words, but yet so powerful!
What differences you from other businesses?
What is important in any business?
Ponder those questions for a bit.....
Ilkka asked us the above questions. So of course you must stand out and be different when running a business. This leads to a better and bigger success. It doesn't necessarily mean that your business idea must be something "never heard, never seen" type of business, no not at all! It could be that the relationship you build with your customers is amazing, the service you provide for them, the communications... Anything but just be different and memorable in a good way!
And the most important thing is customers, why? Because how else will your business keep going. It won't last without any customers now, will it?
Earned media is more important than it used to be, why? Because customers have a big influence on this. Word of mouth, Facebook comments and such things go a long way. This has a big influence to any business.

THE WHAT, WHY AND HOW OF
INFLUENCER MARKETING
We also had another guest speaker on that same Thursday, Riikka Nuutinen from Drum Communications Inc. She specializes in concept planning, in digital marketing. Riikka gave us a speech about influence marketing and the benefits of it.

Influence marketing is a type of marketing, that focuses on using key opinion leaders to drive your brand's message to the larger market. The main benefit of this method is that it gets noticed! Because influncers usually have some type of fan base, therefore it will reach many people.
There are of course different ways to go about this, how to do it. Such as; product seeding, content creation, long-term sponsorship, events, product or service development. Also, there will be the benefit of having brand presence in more channels, with no string attached whatsoever.
The process
1. Find the right influencer & contact them
2. Plan the concept
3. Agree on the details & price
4. Implement
5. Measure
When doing all the above it is highly essential to be sure about what you are doing, is it the right one for you? Find your perfect match. When working with an influencer, listening to their ideas and feedback is important as well. But at the end ALWAYS remember, that you need to be the one looking after your brand.

Here's an interesting article about influence marketing. Please check it out!
Alright that's all for today my dear readers.. I actually can't believe that we have about 5 blogs left to write, I'm so used to blogging now! WEIRD I KNOW!!!!! Hey you never know I might keep doing this and actually make a hobby of it... But that's a bigass IF hahaha :) But still I do enjoy this. Okay okay gonna wrap this up now, tomorrow is a new day so many things to do and deadlines as usual. Adios amigooos!
