Where do I start from......
This week has been so different yet interesting, and last but not least BUSY BUSY AND BUSYY!!! With all the deadlines for Sunday and work combined together is just soo amazing.. NOT! But hey a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do right? And weirdly I'm the type of person that the more busy I am the more stuff I get done.. Cause when I have all the time in the world I just like to chill and be like yeaaah I got this, I can do that assignment tomorrow or whatever, it's not due anytime soon.. Aaand then BAM it's due date and I haven't started shit hahah so yeah the busier I am, the more productive and active I will be.. So freaking weird right!?? :D But heey that's me haha

Monday's Guest speaker

Aida Hubanic gave us a moving and inspirational speech, to be honest she's my favorite guest speaker so far.
She told us about her herself in a deeper level, she gained all of our attention solely cause of her authentic and moving story. I promise you, at one point in the class you could've heard a pin drop. That's how focused we were! Imagine the only thing you could hear was Aida's voice, we didn't make a sound while she was telling us about her story. Literally she gained all of our attention and we were all so concentrated.
She told us how she came to Finland with her parents and her brother. She's originally from Croatia, Sarajevo (I wanna visit that country so bad!!!!). She came here at a young age, Aida and her family came to seek refuge here in Finland, because of the war that was happening at that time in their motherland. Aida told us about her story coming here and it was very moving and sad at times. But she has come far and has done many things since then. The things she has achieved are just amazing! She is now working on her thesis and has her own company as well. GOOD JOB AIDA!!! Hearing stories like this, motivates me and makes me work harder. So I can truly say I am thankful for her speech, and I really feel like she touched me on a deeper level.

GAME JAM
Aida told us a little about Game Jam. It's basically about creating, developing and deploying educational games. It's organised in nine different countries and it has been going on for several years now. The winner team of each of these nine countries are usually awarded a trip. Now this trip isn't only fun and holiday, it's also about participating in the bigger event where the winning teams meet to present their ideas to each other and improve them. Aida participated in this and she was part of the team that won, from Finland. They were awarded a trip to Barcelona, Spain.

Aida mentioned about motivations.
It is essential to know what keeps you going. And identifying these things is as important too! For instance, me personally what motivates me to strive for better is the out come to be honest and of course family and friends. When I feel tired as f*ck and basically just want to give up, I think about the "WHY". Why am I doing this, what will I gain from this.. And then this makes me see a light at the end of the tunnel. In other words it will lowkey build me up and also will allow me to see the good rather than the bad, so positivity is KEY!!!! What kills my motivation is lack of sleep and just being tireeeed. I'm actually addicted to coffee and energy drinks.. NOT GOOD I KNOW! I try to cut down on the energy drinks and maybe just stick to my coffee, cause that I refuse yes REFUSE to give up on. The addiction is reaaal :) Its pretty ironic how I get more motivated by the busier I get, but yet tiredness kills my motivation... Oh God I'm such a weirdo! I literally make no sense whatsoever LOL I'm confused seriously what type of creature am I hahaha!!!

So on Thursday we went to Messukeskus, for E-Commerce trade show. The event was going on for two days. There was three main categories where the lectures and seminars were focused on. SHOP LAVA, MARKETING LAVA and E-COMMERCE LAVA. I decided to attend a lecture from each one of these as it was a must to join at least three. So why not mix them? :)
The lectures I had participated in was
"Keep your customers and your margins - E-Commerce secrets revealed"
By Disney Yapa, Senior Consultant, ContentSquare
"Kauppa omnikanavaisuushuuman jälkeen- Onko kauppa taas vain kauppaa?"
Panel by Arhi Kivilahti, Director of Development, Ruokakesko
Jarno Kartela, Chief Data Scientis, DNA
Kristian Luoma, Head of New Business Development, OP Group and
Timo Nisula, Lakutehtailija, Kouvolan Lakritsi
Hosted by Tero Helenius, Happimaa
"Verkkokaupan tärkein menestystekijä: Asiakas aidosti keksiöön"
By Leevi Parsam, eCommerce Specialist, Team Finland

The most interesting to me out of these three was "Kauppa omnikanavaisuushuuman jälkeen- Onko kauppa taas vain kauppaa?" It was more like a discussion done by 4 panelists and the host. In a way I think I paid more attention to this one and I took in more information, the reason for this is because it seemed less formal, as the panelist were having a discussion amongs themselves. It was nice rather than just listening to one person lecture.
One of the questions asked was "What are the issues in todays businesses?" One of the panelists had an interesting answer and good point about this. For example grocery stores, nobody enjoys going there after a long day at work or school. Who enjoys to line up in a que for a while just to buy a couple bananas. This panelists is a father and has a busy lifestyle with work and family. So he said he dislikes the fact that he has to go food shopping, only because of the long wait and slow service, which has led him to online shopping. He said "maybe one day we can buy even our bananas online?"
hahah imagine ordering some bananas online :)
Maybe in the future this will change, or maybe people will shop less?
Here's a short clip of the discussion :) ENJOY!
After the lectures
After attending the lectures and going around networking. We decided to crash the FastFood show downstairs... And I must say the food was P H E N O M E N A L literally I was full by the time I left there!! Seriously guys words can't articulate how amaaaaazing it was.. The funny thing was I was telling myself that morning that I will start a diet, I even had porridge for breakfast. So I told myself no junk food or sweets for at least the next two weeks. And Rosa, my dear class mate (awesome girl) was going gym straight after the event.. So here you have two girls.. one on a diet and the other on her way to gym. But then FastFood event happened hahaha we both thought you know what lets just eaaat haha and when I say EAT I mean EAT!!! It was so much fun guys :) Probably gained couple kilos but it was worth it.. At least Rosa went gym, I went home hahah :D
Anywaaaays.. It was a different week and change is good right!? Well this change was AWESOME! I'll wrap this up but before I leave I wanna show you guys my snapchat story of Thursday at the event, I won't lie most of it is the food hahaha but watch it!!
It's worth it guys!

BYEEEEE! :)
